Thirupurambiyam is situated on the river side of Kollidam - 11Kms away from Kumbakonam. The Vinayakar of this temple is Sri Pralayamkatha Vinayagar. Thenabishekam (abishekam with honey) is one of the special abishekam being performed for Lord Ganesha and the honey being poured on the idol is drawn into the idol and at the end, Ganesha turns into crimson red color.
